Sunningdale Village Hall was built in 1909 during the reign of Edward VII to provide a centre for the village. The 2009 AGM was held on Monday 23 November 2009, exactly 100 years to the day that the first ever event was held in the Church Road building. A brochure containing a short history of the Village Hall is available.
This AGM marked a turning point in the history of the Hall as it then officially became part of Village Venues, operating in harmony with the CMI and the Parish Council to provide affordable hiring facilities for the benefit of the community.
The Village Hall is a place for hire where all organisations can hold their meetings and events at an economical rent. It comprises two halls allowing for flexibility of use.
The original sprung-floor hall has the benefit of a stage and serving hatch from the recently-upgraded large kitchen. The kitchen includes a double oven, fridge and freezer.
The carpeted small hall, built 20 years ago, has its own cloakroom and kitchenette facilities.
Both halls have use of 120 easy-fold chairs, as well as large and small collapsible lightweight tables.
The Village Hall has the advantage of a large car park at the rear with security lighting.
