who sang some wonderful pieces including traditional carols. They were joined by the Quince Players annual pantomime cast where Prince Charming gave a fantastic rendition surrounded by dancers, and then it was Cinderella’s turn where she sang so beautifully.

Children and members of the Quince Players then escorted Russ Abbot in procession to the Square where he entertained and raised many laughs until he accomplished the all important task of switching on the brilliant lights followed by a short but impressive firework display to celebrate. The evening was rounded off with Community carol singing led by Russ Abbot.

Christine Gadd

General Waste Facilities
Following the piece in the Parish newsletter on the ending of dumping of waste at Bagshot and Bracknell, we have received a large number of emails. This matter has come before the Parish Council and we have taken this up forcefully with the Royal Borough who are in negotiations with neighbouring authorities.
- We understand the inefficient use of energy and time in taking rubbish to Stafferton Way, Maidenhead.
- With rising land-fill taxes, every Council must reduce waste to same. So the Borough seeks to promote recycling and waste reduction schemes.
- Every solution that we are working on has a cost associated with it and these costs have to be closely examined as the Borough is determined not to raise Council taxes this coming year.
With that in mind we are pursuing this with the Borough to come up with a low cost solution that can be implemented without too much delay.
Anne Martin, Clerk to the Parish Council.
